Supertitious Beliefs on New Years

Today is new year in the Philippines. I was thinking a lot of things like how i wish i was in the Phils right now to celebrate with my family. I know its gonna be fun on celebrating new year comparing here in US. I imagined a lot of things like the children's carolling, the fearful boom of firecrackers, ringing bells from the church, loud musics from the TV and stereo etc.

Anyway, too much for a drama. Here are some common superstition when new years come:

1.Empty pockets or empty cupboards on New Years Eve portend a year of poverty

2.
Its bad luck to let a fire go out on New Year's Eve.

3.Loud Noise: Make as much noise as possible at midnight to scare away evil spirits.

4.Babies:Children born on New Year's Day bring great fortune and prosperity to all the household

5. Money: Do not pay back loans or lend money or other precious items on New Year's Day. To do so is to guarantee you'll be paying out all year.

6.New Clothes: Wear something new on January 1 to increase the likelihood of your receiving more new garments during the year to follow.

7. Clock: Just as the clock strikes twelve the head of the house should open the door in order to allow the Old Year to pass out and the New Year to come in.

8. Stocking Up: The New Year must not be seen in with bare cupboards, lest that be the way of things for the year. Larders must be topped up and plenty of money must be placed in every wallet in the place to guarantee a prosperous year.

9.Paying Off Bills: The new year should not be begun with the household in debt, so checks should be written and mailed off prior to January 1st. Likewise, personal debts should be settled before the New Year arrives.

Certified Blogger

Another blog another headache. I don't know if i still can manage using 4 or 5 different blogs but i am trying to do my best to keep them updated. I like to write. In fact i got so many post in my first blog. I had like 3 or 4 post everyday. So, i was thinking i will make more blogs cause i know i be able to handle it. I hope so.

Well, after this one i was thinking to make another one again cause i have this funny little thing in my mind. I have a good tittle for it and etc.

This blog is a personal type again just like the rest of my blogs. I am too chatty sometimes that i want to speak my mind out even in a little space on a web. I have nothing to do besides taking care of my baby. I can't go out for shopping myself cause i don't drive and i don't like going outside neither or like going to places with friends. I used to go around places but since i learned blogging i hardly can't go outside cause i don't want to and its better for me to stay at home writing entries for my blogs either paid post or not. At least i make a little bit of money.

Everybody is welcome here! Comments and suggestions are most appreciated. Leave a message in my tagboard so that i can visit you back. Thank you for your time and interest on viewing this new blog.
